Thank you for all your suggestions.

This will be our 10th trip to Italy, and we still have trouble deciding which areas to visit !

Guy,
dont complain, do it !! To say it the easy way: Its only a few hours away
And you will love Norcia or Tuscany or.... or..... or......
The only problem: You will not go home that easy any more. So throw a cent into Fontana di Trevi and for sure, you will return

When I go it is going to be for a month. Just waiting for my son to get a little older. This is going to be a mom and dad trip only. LOL

And I'm trying to get my wife to agree to move to Italy for a year... she's not convinced...

For Mario and/or Klaus.... is it possible to get to the top of Mount Mattorone on Lago Maggiore before sunrise? I know there's a cable car from Stresa, and a toll road, but I don't know what time they open.

For Guy:
When you do get to Italy, don't forget to sample the local wine.

many thanks

Re: G1?...we don't need no stinking G1/Picture thread

Just a lens test... but as per the rules of the G1 Fight Club

1) Don't talk about G1 Fight Club

2) All Bottle shots must be empty and out of focus

well I suppose one out of 3 ain't bad

For those who care ... Nikkor 50/1.4 on a 510 @ISO 800 (Boy I show my age .. I was going to say 800 ASA) Minor tweaks in Aperture and Define

Also the ratio of Gin to Tequila does not accurately reflect the rate of consumption... You mileage may vary

all pics done with political correct fighterclub cams. Took a Guinnes and a bottle Tripudium to fight that Pana invasion .
More to come... just checking wine reserve....hicks...

For those who care, its 800 ASA !!!!!!! ISO is for the pannys.
Except the dancer. That was 1.2 °/oo promille lol ( 1250 ASA )

The party never stops.....

Not as fine a wine or photo as Klaus's Tripidium - which I always thought was an ancient Roman device for holding mosaic makers hands steady

but still very palatable

Nikkor 50/1.4 at 800 YMCA

Re: G1?...we don't need no stinking G1/Picture thread

Single malt bottles are sacred totems to the Sons of Sean... the once and future Bond

They can never be photographed

well actually we are out of whiskey and the bottles aint as pretty as the Tequila ones

still awaiting the Lux... might like the Nocti if i didn't hate working with rangefinders or i could find the right gaffer tape to strap it to the Oly

Belive Leica make such a tape... part Number is STICKY

but you have to send your lens and camera to Solm to calibrate the stickiness at you chosen f stop

I'll stick to my Nikkors

which reminds me ... tomorrow is washday :-)

Not to worry he would need a G1 first and at this point would be too embarrassed to buy one
