Dealing with UPS and a warning about sending cameras to the USA

Two weeks ago I sent an h5d-200c back to them, and claimed $9999 since Canada post wouldn't let me go higher then $10k. It got there no issue, and then it had to get sent off to Sweden. The clerk at the post office said it would've been cheaper and easier to send it myself to Sweden. H sent me a...

    500mm for HB X2D

Would a FF DSLR/35mm lens paired with a tele-converter not give you the image circle you need.

    Hasselblad quality

Looks like my 200c back will be going back there today. It went the same route as the 40 CCD and 50 CCD. Hopefully Sweden is better than the old HUSA repair in NJ. They wouldn't fix the 50 CCD. I was able to fix it cheap and I just put it on the H5D body to use in the studio while the 200 is...

    Fun with MF images 2025

A vintage rock climbing hold from our climbing gym that's been around 30+ years here in Sarnia. Brought the hold home for what I think would be it's first wash. Photographed as a 20 stack focus bracketing in Phocus, in 6 shot mode on a Hasselblad h5d-200c with the 100mm 2.2 and a 13mm spacer.

Hasselblad H6D - which Hasselblad digital backs does it support?

Yes. The H backs can be dialed in perfectly to match the body. Unless it's been done by Hasselblad the body and backs can be a little out, depending on the type of photography or level of aggressive pixel peepingness it could be fine. With a the 100mm 2.2 it could be the difference of the eye...

Hasselblad H6D - which Hasselblad digital backs does it support?

I had the h3dII-50 ccd back and think I put it on the demo h6d-100c and there was no issues. The back does go on the h5d just fine. Only issue would be dialing in the focus, but it's easy enough to do, it takes a few tries depending on precise you want to get. :)

    Medium Format and Coffee

Thanks to a family member that is into coffee as much as I am, and their work requiring them to travel to almost every country, Christmas and summer family get togethers allow for a lot of once in a lifetime cups of coffee. This year upgraded the older 50ccd frankenstein Hasselblad to a never...

Awesome! I haven't been on here in a while. Sounds like it was an easy fix. I would've suggested just that. Maybe some lubricants if you felt like it needed it. Congratulations and I hope it lasts you more years to come.

Quick pulse check – MFD mid 2024

It's been a fun summer where I am. Just work, beach and travelling. Most forms of social interaction for me right now is done over a coffee or a pint. I'll be back on here in the winter and in my underwear.

FS: Hasselblad HC 150mm 3.2 (partially open shutter)

I had an 80 with a shutter stuck like this. I was able to free it with a combination of DOF preview, M.UP and removing and re-attaching the lens.
