    I agree with you that Canon ETTL on 645DF is not workable but A mode on SB800 is good. I have too many lights already so plunging money into a Quadra or even Hensel Potty is out of my radar. Was just curious to read about auto mode on 580EXII, so I asked. Thanks.

    Joe, when you say Auto mode, do you mean ETTL mode? I ask because on SB800 there is a separate Auto mode whereas Canon does not seem to have that. I have both systems and would prefer using the Canon as it has a screwed down hot shoe so on the 645DF it stays in place.

    B/W Fine Portraits

    I'm thinking of going back to doing fine portraits in B/W. I used to do those with Tri-X film and matte Agfa paper. My question is what is the best way to reproduce the same look using my P30+? What printer, ink, paper should I be considering. Any help will be much appreciated.

    on sportsshooter.com I read that quite a few users have complained about 1D MKIV giving them problems. Worst still don't seem to be able to fix their cameras as they still get errors after the cameras are returned. Anyone here have bad experiences with this camera? I'm thinking of getting one...

    Camera: 1Ds MK III When I'm shooting at minimum distance, I need to micro-adjust my camera to -14 for my 85mm f/1.2 II. However, when I shoot at around 7ft to 8ft, this adjustment needs to be set at +7 for a sharp focus. How am I going to use this lens on this body without constantly doing...

    Adapter to use Mamiya Digital Back on Contax 645?

    With all the new optics from Phaseone-Schneider and a sync speed of 1/1600s I personally don't see any reason to not to abandon Contax if one can afford the switch.
