    Showoff thread

Leica was kind enough to lift my NDA on the engraving :). Leather by Aloysius NG and strap by Gordy. Up front, every non-Leica user I met liked it, some Leica fans did not ;). As for stealth - if you turn your camera into a conversation topic, it is rarely noticed that you are actually using it...

    Henri in Africa

Hi Guys. I just had a little article in Theme magazine on the Monochrom as travel camera. Nothing too profound, this is a general photography magazine. Henri in Africa — The Leica Monochrom as a Travel Camera | THEME

    My M9 ISO 2500 technique

It is with some trepidation that I put this on a forum run by Photoshop jockeys;). But it has worked so well for me that I wanted to share. I also put it in the M9 FAQ on LUF. I hope to learn from the reactions.

The end of the line for the R

Finally the final word on the future of the R system. I a meeting of the LUF in Hessenpark Stefan Daniel announced this bombshell. Leica will not attempt to muscle in on the DSLR market, as they see it a a sure way to commit harakiri. But there is no reason to sell your R lenses (unless, of...

First grabs with the Summilux 24

I think I'm in love :) I only had the lens for a couple of hours and grabbed a few shots by the side of the road as I drove home, in failing light. And a 100% crop. Note the DOF that is at pixel level, and the focus that I put on the flowerbuds smack in the middle of the native DOF of...

    Versions

I ran this one in RFF, but it seems to me this is a more appropriate spot. Opinions? Four versions: 1. Original 2. Noise-Ninjaed for that DSLR-look 3 Black and White 4. Just for fun - a fake movie-still

    Weird DMR adaptations

First a handgrip I found on e-bay. Brand: Samigon. Beautifully made, with a grotty cable release. (which is why it is only partly shown here) The Kabel-C by Novoflex needed only minor alterations- just a hole tapped to M4 and a dollop of Superglue- to be a perfect fit. It increased the...

    Long Shots

105/280 @ 280, R9/DMR ISO 200, 1/125 handheld. I am really beginning to like this combo. The Leica blurb is right, this lens is as good as a prime. Very good balance on the DMR. :) 1/125 handheld again: and 1/250 handheld

    IR walkabout

A walk in the park today. M8, Summaron 3.5, 3.5 cm goggled, 092 filter, ISO 1250. Any comments, negative or positive welcome. This is a learning curve for me.

    In doubt again

In LUF Rolo suggested I should convert this image to monochrome. I'm not sure... Opinions?
