    Art on the Beach

Hi Derek, An interesting concept and a nice series. I like the attention you have paid to framing the yellow hut and also the way the artist makes you wonder what is behind the hanging ribbons. Thanks for sharing.

    Loitering with intent!

Hi Will, A very nice series. The second one really shows the scale of the festival. Good colour, as Lili pointed out in all of the too.

The All New More and More Fun With Digital M Images

Re: The All New More and More Fun w/M8 Images Hi All, I have not been around much for a myriad of reasons but it is lovely to see all these wonderful photographs. I have not had much of a chance to get out to photograph of late but here are a couple from a wedding ceremony I did last...

    09/09/09

Hi Roger, There has been no official confirmation or announcement from Leica as far as I can tell but there are a lot of people stating that they have either preordered an M9 for delivery late September or have had verbal confirmation of something coming in that time frame. The 09/09/09 appears...

    S/H digilux2

Hi Derek, I have never owned this camera but those that have/do seem to like it very much. Having said that though things have moved on a lot since that model was released and I personally would suggest for that amount of money you could get more with a newer camera. Good luck with your decision.

35mm Summilux f1.4 ASPH Front Focus

Hi Jay, Sorry, I am not being very clear. All I mean to say is that with your lenses mounted if you look at a scene with a distant object at what point of focus on the lens does the rangefinder provide a completely aligned image? A distant tower is ideal as an unbroken line is easy to detect...

    DP2 as "teacher"

Hi All, I too really love the clarity of view you can achieve with a one lens solution. I personally use an M8 with a 35mm lens which basically gives me a 50mm field of view and I use nothing else anymore except for very specific purposes. I think that Don's point about find your field of view...

    Having a rest

Hi Jono, I have just had a break myself although this has been due to internet connection (or lack of) problems and an unsocial workload. I have always enjoyed your photographs and views and look forward to both again soon. Have a nice holiday!

35mm Summilux f1.4 ASPH Front Focus

Hi Jay, Are you doing these tests on a tripod? The reason I ask is that I have been through the whole exercise myself and found that you really need to control the test environment. On the assumption that the lower numbers are at a closer distance than the higher ones you appear to describe...

    Leica M9 schedule for September 2009 ?

Hi Terry, If a full frame M8 comes along I suspect the 0.72 magnification will become the standard and the framelines you see in the M7 will be used.

35mm Summilux f1.4 ASPH Front Focus

Hi Jay, The only truly user adjustable tuning you can do is to the cameras rangefinder infinity setting. Before doing this I think you need to be certain about exactly what is going on. The Leica 35mm Summilux and to a lesser extent Summicron exhibit focus shift by design. In the later lens...

The All New More and More Fun With Digital M Images

Re: The All New More and More Fun w/M8 Images Hi All, Wow, some truly magnificent photographs added here since I last stopped in. I am on a self imposed D-Lux 4 diet at the moment, trying to really find its limits.
