Kudos to Sony but I'd be happier with a top level new body.

Re: CFV-50c !!

Does the sensor rotate? Or is it just another bad joke from Hasselblad?

Re: Fun with A6000

Beautiful Cindy, especially the second one with the trees. I'm glad you're enjoying the full spectrum conversion. Can you say now how many steps you lose for normal color and for full b&w IR?
Thanks...

Re: A7R with TSE 17 and 24 color shift question

Almost there.
Now we need an A7r-like with EFC and we're done.

Re: Now _THIS_ is exciting ...

I returned my Rhinocam. I planned to use it mainly with my CF 50 but it didn't show any accutance. A slight haziness permeated the whole picture. This happened with my IR converted A6000.
Also, the...

Re: "Capturing Infrared"

New attempt. It is hard getting a suitable B&W picture with the Super Color. I don't feel like using (and buying) filters. Let's wait till I learn more. I like this one tho.

Re: Lightening the Load with Cambo+IQ260+Sony

In his golden years he used a Hasselblad. Today he would be using an A7r.

Re: Any interest in the D810?

+1
I shoot with EOS. But to me Nikon has issued a written certified challenge to Canon with the 810.
Nikon matched the best of Canon. Now it is for Canon to match the best from Nikon. No more...

Re: making compact technical camera for A7/A7r

Chiek, congratulations again. You are awesome man!
I wanted to tell you that an EOS electronic mount would be perfection.
I just returned a Rhinocam because I didn't like the results from my...

Re: "Capturing Infrared"

I was at the beach with full sunshine with the Sony 20mm prime shooting @f8. The sun was at my 7 o'clock. This lens produces hot spots, yes, in plural.
First one is channel-swap only. You can see a...

Carl, the test pictures before with no hot spots visible were shot at f5.6
I conducted today another small test with the kit zoom lens thinking about what you said and closed down to f16.

Mine is from Life Pixel. So far so good but it is a bit early to evaluate quality of the conversion. What I can say is that the service and communication is top grade. I did my conversion by mail...

Re: Image circle of A7R and Canon Tilt/Shift lenses compared to MFDB and shift lenses

Ben,
I get the FOV equivalency by doing unsofisticated math. No scientists here.

If you’re shifting 12mm to each side, you get an image of 48X36 (4:3).
48X48= 2,304 +
36X36=...

Re: Fun with A6000

I bought both Sony 50f1.8 and 20f2.8 to use them with the IR converted A6000. These were the lenses I found under my budget. Originally I wanted to use the IR A6K with the 16-50 kit lens, but...

Re: "Capturing Infrared"

I find the kit lens pretty good for such a small "kit" lens. I'd say pretty usable across the range. But it is clearly to see the 50 1.8 is better. The 20 2.8 is better too but less so. If I recall...

Hi there! I was doing some informal tests trying to confirm the so called "hot spot" that seems to show with the Sony 16-50 kit lens.
I've been shooting a few here and there but not seeing anything....

Thanks to Cindy, I found you guys!
Second day. The learning curve is waayyy steeper than I thought. I can't get a decent B&W image. I don't know if it's because the Super Color conversion or what?...
