EP1 - Pin Hole Art filter...I like it!

I've had the EP1 for a few weeks now and just tried shooting using the Pin Hole Art Filter. For some reason the LCD refresh rate seems very slow compared to all other Art filters and it takes a long time for the image to be recorded in the memory card. The manual does mention anything. I assume it's a normal behavior, but if so, why?

In any case, the result is quite appealing. The reason I haven't tried it earlier was because I was under the impression that all this filter did was adding vignetting to the images. It turns out the colors are quite different as well. Here a re a few shots I took using this particular Art Filter:
