Canon EF to Sony NEX Adapter

I wonder how this could work? Somehow the NEX will determine the amount of light and change the EF aperture?

They are the folks who hacked the old Contax N lenses to work with Canon EOS bodies. Their adapter has a programmed chip that acts as a translator between the Contax lens' CPU and the Canon EOS cameras' CPU.

If it is similar, then NEX bodies will auto focus the EOS lenses and control the aperture as well.

Thank you I am going to keep my EF lenses and not buy any NEX lenses. Why duplicate them?
