The new Leica M9 better be a decent high iSO camera.

I guess it depends on whether you prefer to believe what someone says David Farkas said Zeiss told him, or what someone says someone in a Yokohama camera store heard. But hey, this is a rumor thread, right?

I spoke recently with a representative for Zeiss at a photo trade show recently. He said Zeiss will NOT do a digital RF; he said that it would have to sell 10,000 copies a year for 5 years to be profitable, and Zeiss does not see the market for it.

I think that Zeiss, unlike Leica, seems to have a clear and sobre view on the reality of the camera market. I would be very very surprised if they would go into such adventure. But if they do, and the camera is decent (and no Leica-style pricing), I'm a buyer

I share all your disbelief in this rumour, I just thought I would let you know that this site with that information is out there. Actually I did not even know of the existence of this site before stumbling on it. Oh well, we'll see
