    Experiences with Leica L 24-90

On the wide end I have been using the Sigma Art 14-24mm. It's a superb performer optically. Only downside is that it doesn't take filters on the front.

    Congrats! Happy shooting!

    Experiences with Leica L 24-90

Some samples from my copy. All with the SL2.

    Experiences with Leica L 24-90

Nice comparison here between the 35 & 50 APO SL's vs 24-90 Vario. It's an old video but I think his findings echo my own experiences.

    Experiences with Leica L 24-90

The 90-280 is on my bucket list. I have to try that lens someday!

    Experiences with Leica L 24-90

I've had lovely results from mine. The IQ and build quality are as you'd expect from Leica. But I bought it when it was the only real option available. Since then Sigma's 24-70 DG DN II and Leica own version of the 24-70 have been brought to market (which I think might be a rebadged Sigma...

Experiences with Canon EF lenses on Leica SL2 / Sigma MC-21

The SL2 is such a versatile camera. I’ve been considering the MC-21 for use with the Canon TS-E lenses. From what I have read those lenses work well on the SL2 as well.

    Hasselblad 100C and 35XL

Add to this list the Rodenstock Digaron-S 23mm As already pointed out, Hasselblad are under no obligation to fix these issues. But it seems a relatively straightforward tool to add to Phocus. Being responsive to customer requests enhances the value of their products and goes a long way to...

Panasonic Lumix S1RII - new future for FF

Some lovely samples Carl. Curious if you have had an opportunity to try wide angle M lenses on the S1R II yet?

    Darkroom ventilation query

Yeah, it's eco friendly but doesn't smell great.

Architecture photography - a proposition for the GFX 100RF

It's an awesome way to breath life into old Mamiya 7 lenses for anyone who already has that system. I see B&H sell an adapter that allows use on the GFX too. Presumably that wouldn't require any modification.

Architecture photography - a proposition for the GFX 100RF

That looks like a very cool setup Rob. Do the Mamiya lenses need much work in post like an LCC etc? Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, I haven't seen a setup like that before and was curious.

Architecture photography - a proposition for the GFX 100RF

If Fuji developed a WCL (similar to the the one available for the X100 series) attachment to add to the GFX 100 RF to make it a 28 or 25mm equivalent I could see it being an even more compelling option for walk around architecture. It would feel quite similar to a Leica M with SEM 21mm...

Architecture photography - a proposition for the GFX 100RF

There is value in both approaches. Best is if Fuji would offer both of these features. I don’t think it’s a scenario where one feature must prevail over the other. To my mind visualizing a cropped image from a leveled camera is easier than visualizing the keystone correction from a tilted...

Architecture photography - a proposition for the GFX 100RF

Actually this thread just reminded me, much of the comparisons we have been discussing have been covered by Sean Reid of reidreviews.com His website is subscription based but the fee is modest. Out of respect for Sean’s subscription system I will refrain from copy pasting any of his content...

Architecture photography - a proposition for the GFX 100RF

If the camera offers both tools, can't the photographer make frames using both methods and simply print the one that looks the best after post production is done?

Architecture photography - a proposition for the GFX 100RF

I think the lens resolution / MP count discussion is rather fruitless. In the end of the day all of these cameras have very high resolution sensors and excellent lenses. What is more relevant is which camera get's us from concept / visualisation to a finished image in the most enjoyable /...

Architecture photography - a proposition for the GFX 100RF

Too some degree you're right. Perspective correction is simply a convenient way of previewing what will eventually be contained within the corrected image. There are some benefits to doing it that way on the SL2 in particular. You can temporarily view the composition with perspective control...
