Sorry to hear of your bad sample! Mine is in constant use for casual shooting and has held up well. It is certainly not as good as the Leica 24-90 but as has been said, it's fraction of the price. Has anybody else tried this lens? I bought it on a whim (at an attractive price!) as a casual carry-around lens. I usually pack the APO 21, 35 and 75 for serious work but that's quite a lot of weight. I am pleasantly surprised at just how good it is.
