Fun with the Fuji X ___!

XM5/XF27 F2.8. The last one is a bit of more crop. I am glad I was able to see both shots coming up and the last one was very blink-and miss moment. I just flipped the XM5 up and shot. One thing I notice of Fuji APSC and some other bigger sensor models not m43rds is that they require a bit...

Fun with the Fuji X ___!

I missed this shot. I like the colors and the lines. Lots of verticals and horizontals.

    Mount Fuji Active … 📸

I think I prefer the B&W version. I am normally not a big fan on someone else’s art photos, but this one puts like such a contrast to the “brutal” (?) concrete/buildings… I like it. And then prison. The message adds a certain irony in a way…

Fun with the Fuji X ___!

I often find Velvia a bit color-harsh but for some reason it works well here to my eyes. Probably the green vs the blues.

Fun with the Fuji X ___!

This Dino was amazing last night. The guy was walking with it, and had like two iPhone panels for control, could speak through the mouth in distorted voice.. had speakers for music. (Basically a guy inside "wears" the Dino and walks). Got this nice shot of it with the interaction with some...

Instagram good for sharing/marketing your work?

Hi there- I wanted to to know if you have good experiences (or bad) and would recommend using Instagram to share and market you work (either / or). I want to hear if you would recommend why (just 2 most salient points) and if not, why (2 most salient points). I keep going back and forth in my...

    GFX 100 RF

Yeah, I love this lens of Fuji probably the most. Very "character lens." But like everything else, you can def. do compelling compositions with longer DOF too. It all depends. To give an idea of other DOF's... The first shot is a GX9 with the Olympus F1.8 25mm prime cropped. 2nd shot is a...

    GFX 100 RF

Well all I can say is that I am able to freeze my subjects enough on the street at around 1/250. Obviously this means that the way they are moving or the parts I am interested that are moving are fozen at this speed, so the "technical fact" you present has some context-dependent things. I am...

    GFX 100 RF

Well if you can't freeze motion in daylight at 1/125 or even 1/250, then that makes the case even more so that IBIS is not necessarily needed :-) But for the record, I can freeze my subjects enough at night at 1/125->1/250. Of course it depends what you are trying to freeze. Freezing tennis...

    Mount Fuji Active … 📸

I think it's better, but I would still go back and try a few things. I think there other shots to be had from there. This has happened to me with some frequency, particularly when going to a new place. And yes, "it is what it is" is the end point- not everything I take will be great so I have...

    Mount Fuji Active … 📸

If I may comment - I find this shot a bit off in composition or something else. However, the subject, with those dark contrasty waves.. that texture of the water.. Man, I would go back there and try a few things. Those waves make for something super interesting.

    GFX 100 RF

IBIS doesn't do much for me at night because I am shooting moving subjects I want to freeze. Once you are shooting at 1/125-1/250, IBIS doesn't matter for like any focal length to 100mm in FF equivalent. Much less a 28mm. - Ricardo

    GFX 100 RF

Well it all depends on the sensor, if it has double gain and other modes. In some cameras I have found that shooting at higher IsO it's best to do so in-camera and not in post. IIRC, on the Fujis with the X-mount 26MP sensor, it pays off to do this as you will get extra noise doing it in post...

GFX 100RF - sharpness compared to GF 32-64mm@35mm

What I see here is the GFX100RF lens is sharper at the wider apertures with the other camera catching up when you close the aperture. It makes sense- when you make a fixed lens camera prime you can get it "primed" (pun intended) for higher quality, particularly more so vs a Zoom. Thanks for...

    Fun with the Q7

I wonder if there are still any of you shooting with a Pentax Q (any). I may unearth one of them sometime. I look at some of my past work and at times feel it's better in some ways/areas. And it was with the Q.
