Help: Techart TCX-01 adapter on Hasselblad X1D not working properly

I just got mine the other day and am using it with firmware 9.0.0 on an X2D and it seems to work well with the 50 and 90 TS-Es. For the 50, the lens metadata says XCD 45, but the recorded focal length is indeed 50mm. Aperture seems to stop down properly for each shot. One thing I did notice...

    Old vs new.

Weight wise, I would add up and consider the whole system. I found that once you go beyond about 2 lenses, weight wise the economics of lenses each with helicals but with a slightly lighter body gets inverted against one of these "small" bellows based systems with lenses on boards. Even the...

X2D longer telephoto options for landscape

Thanks Marco! @Godfrey Looks like with the 2X the image is also very soft (even with these screen resolution photos) so that's probably a bigger deal breaker than the vignetting. @bags27 With the 2X Mutar that actually looks pretty reasonable! I have the Mamiya 105-210 and the 300 coming so...

X2D longer telephoto options for landscape

Oh yes would be very curious about the results of that combo!

    Old vs new.

I currently have all of these systems and I think there's elements of truth to what everyone is saying and it's really going to come down one's shooting needs and to some extent one's subjective opinion. For me, I much prefer working in Lightroom and also prefer minimum amount of time in front...

    Old vs new.

@adamwork what adapter are you using for the Canon lenses on the Hasselblad? There are many with no aperture control but ones with the electronics for aperture control seem scant.

X2D longer telephoto options for landscape

Cool, the Mamiya ULD 300 and the 105-210 zoom are cheap enough that I'm just going to give them a try and see what it looks like. Both are also <900g, which while not exactly light is perhaps manageable. BTW I found these reviews useful...

X2D longer telephoto options for landscape

What are people with XCD bodies doing for longer telephoto, especially for landscape photography? I'm talking >200mm with the priority being optical quality, size and weight. In my last go around with the XCD system a few years ago, I did use the 135 with the TC which optically was ok but was...

    S4

Hmmm I'm wondering how they will pull off adapting SL lenses if the body has a focal plane shutter. Without a focal plane shutter, all the lenses would need leaf shutters and adapted lenses would be electronic shutter only (and given the number of megapixels and prioritizing image quality, the...

    X2D Firmware 4.0 Multi shot 4x added

There is no sensor based stabilization in the CFV 100c (I believe) so I'm guessing no multishot as it would use the stabilization mechanism to do this.

    Leica SL3

Curious if they will just use the 44x33 sensors that the competitors are using. For me that would be great as the 4:3 aspect ratio is one of the most appealing parts of the current MF bodies. If they did a custom 3:2 sensor, I’d be disappointed.

    Q3 43 next week

Mine is on the way as well, I've always wanted a Q with a longer lens, can't wait.

    Q3 43 next week

I’m thinking the pair of them would be a nice travel kit. You get wide (I find the Q3 lens has an angle of view closer to 26mm) and normal, AF, close focus all in a compact package where you don’t have to change lenses. It’s an ubsurd amount of money for a travel kit but we are talking Leica...

    FOMO

An IQ4 150, an Alpa STC and a Cambo Actus DB along with HR 40, 70, 90 & 180. I did use it once a couple of months ago but other than that this kit hasn't seen any use in the last 2 years :(. I've considered selling them but I don't have the time or energy to deal with the hassle of it.

Leica SL3 with Canon TS-E lenses?

My SL3 won’t be replacing the R5 for my wildlife work, mostly because of the excellent RF 100-500. For everything else, yes I will go with the SL3. AF wise, the R5 is ‘better’ in an absolute level, it is faster especially in continuous and high frame rate shooting. But practically for most...

Leica SL3 with Canon TS-E lenses?

I just recently got the Sigma MC-21 to use my Canon 50 and 90 TS-Es with my SL3. I’ve used them extensively with my R5 and they work quite well on the SL3. I only did some basic IQ and usability tests and saw no issues with resolution or vignetting with max shift and tilting. I will say the...
