    Fun with MF images 2025

What shutter speed were you able to hand hold and get sharp images, while blurring the water? Did the camera have IBIS? Reason I ask, I would love to do this with some of my seascapes with breaking waves. Very lovely image. Thank you.

On Medium Format, First Snow and Getting Old

Thanks Rod. I do have a quick release on both my cameras, with a ball head on my monopod. It was so cold I didn’t want to take the time to mess with the monopod, etc. I should have. I will post some additional photos taken two days later that I was cognizant with ISO and shutter speed, and they...

On Medium Format, First Snow and Getting Old

As promised here are some images taken hand held (Not on purpose) at very low shutter speed, around 1/20 sec. The first image was shot 1/3 sec and was hopelessly blurry. I decided rather than try to fix it, I would cash in and use the blurry image to represent cold snowy, foggy weather. I added...

    Fun with Sony Cameras 2024

    Fun with Sony Cameras 2024

I need to get my butt off the chair and use some of my collection of old film lenses with an adapter (I have a bunch of adapters). Your shot made with the Elmar 50mm f2.8 is lovely.

    Beautiful Tenba Camera Bag

I agree. One of the most attractive bags I have ever seen. But, my wife says camera bags are like ladies' purses: either too big, or too small; thus I have a lot of bags that got little use. At 87 and living in a small two-bedroom condo, it is time to let someone else enjoy them. Merry Christmas

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my Forum Threads

My wife and I have been married for 65 years, and I have made my own Christmas cards every year. And yes, we still have them all and unearth them every year. In the early days I made them in my darkroom, using 8"x10" Kodak "Folding Weight" paper. I made 100. Over the years I transitioned to...

Burning in edges and corners using gradient tool in Photoshop

Hello folks. At my advanced age, I sometimes think I am really losing it. As long as I can remember, I simulated the effect of burning in the edges and corners of my dark room prints. I used the gradient tool on a separate layer, I think set to “Foreground to transparent”, usually to a low...
