    There were times in Japan recently where I wish I had a zoom lens due to the inclement weather-23 degrees and snowing but I just decided that for that particular day I was going to shoot with a 90mm and be done with it. It worked well for me as I don’t like zoom lenses. full set here...

    They dont self discharge........If I put a full battery in the camera and turn the camera off......go back two days later and turn the camera on its still at 100%

    I also have 3 x batteries and none of them deplete faster than one would expect, in fact I rarely have to use a second battery..........like others have stated check your camera settings

    Rare Snow Bunny spotted in Hokkaido

    This was the first time my fiancé had seen snow and she wanted to do a photoshoot in her bikini in the snow……… it was minus -21 degrees when we did the shoot. she was so excited to do the shoot she said she didn’t even feel cold……. I was bloody freezing taking the pictures.

    We were meant to fly home today, after dropping the rental car off and arriving at the airport in Sapporo I was greeted with a "flight cancelation email" after 3 hours of fuXXXXXXng around at Sapporo airport, I rented another car and hotel for two nights and new flights back to Phuket on...

    Both were shot while snowing but the one of the shrine was more like a blizzard than just snowing.............X2D did great, more than I can say for me🥶🥶🥶🥶

    Thanks for the reply. I just have the X2D II with me with a 38, 90 and 135mm lenses + the 1.7 TC. I would say I have used the 90:2.5 60% of the time 135mm 30 % and the rest between the 220mm and the 38mm............I did not bring any other gear

    A few more from today's drive to Kushiro on the southern eastern side of Hokkaido ....................compared to central and western Hokkaido this place has had very little snow, but still very pretty

    Amazing sunrise this morning while driving from the centre of Hokkaido to Hokkaido's East cost. After shooting this hand held I turned around to put my camera in the car and on the other side of the road this was going on...........what a place this is, should go on every landscape photographers...
