Leica TL2's shutter sound
I have the T and holding it up to my ear, the shutter sounds the same. I've seen all the rumors, but so far I haven't seen much that would make me want to upgrade. I would have for an integrated EVF, or perhaps IBIS. If all we have is 24mp, 4k and no flash....I'm not that impressed. -

My local dealer worked with me to deal with NJ for service (nothing major...coding a couple of lenses) and it went well. Perhaps it's part of the reason why I haven't had the issues that some here have. Trick is finding a dealer that is willing to help. -

Leica SL - Focusing wide M lenses
The Q has a feature like this( and it works nicely IMO), but understand that this would need to be implemented as a crop of the lens. Since you are getting your viewfinder image through the lens, like an SLR, you can't see outside the FOV of the lens that is attached. Any M lens could be cropped... -

Strange ? request re: digilux 1
The Digilux 1 was based on the Panasonic LC5. I'd check with Panasonic to see if they could fix it, or recommend a repair shop. -

Filter sizes for Leica R lenses ... ?
I'll let someone more knowledgeable than me answer the 'Series 8' questions, but E55 refers to a standard 55mm threaded filter. -

Leica Releases Firmware v2.0.1.5 for M?
Sounds like you were shooting RAW before...always will show up as color regardless of settings. The firmware update reverts to jpg so all settings show in the pics. -

Lightroom 5 and M9/MM
I used the Huelight profiles for the M9 and liked them a lot. I'm waiting ...somewhat patiently... for M240 profiles. :) -

Yes, it's a very similar process, The only advantage is the corrected shot is automatically added to the LR catalog. I get the impression that cornerfix and the plug-in do give somewhat different results, but I haven't really examined this aspect and can't draw any conclusions. -

Yes, the Flat Field plug requires a profile image similar to cornerfix. Unlike cornerfix you don't create a profile file, but rather link to the profile DNG itself. On using the plug-in it allows you to correct for either color-cast and falloff, or just color-cast. The process I used in... -
