Yes, agree. To silence the bashing, perhaps we need to neologize. Since f/1.7 is half-way arithmetically between f/1.4 and f/2.0, why not refer to the Q's lens as a Semi-Lux! [woof!] -

Noisy FUJIFILM GF 120mm f/4 Macro R LM OIS WR Lens
All my XF lenses with OIS share the loose, clunking noise until they’re powered up. I don’t worry about it, no long term use issue I can detect. How is the GF 120’s noise different, please?
