Black reference with lens shade / compendium on a Rodenstock Aperture Mount lens

Hi,
I am considering investing in either a 40mm or 50mm Rodenstock HR Digaron lens, as a replacement for my SK 43XL.
I shoot with an Arca Rm3di and Factum setup with an IQ3!!
My other lenses are in Copal mounts. I need a compendium or a lens shade for most of my shots.
I work in rough industrial environments, removing a fragile filter holder or the lens shade for each exposure is not a great scenario.
With the copal lenses, I use a Lee Filter Compendium, and for the HR 32 an Alpa Lens shade.

Are there any solutions besides upgrading to an IQ4?
Should I try hunting down an old Copal Shutter?
How are you guys handling this?

P.W.,
I may not be understanding the problem you are trying to resolve, but I have the Lee and the Cambo compendium and generally find them in my way at the most inopportune times. If I am having to do black frame references and LCC's and I am just dealing with directional light this has been my solution. I then use lens cap for black frame and hand hold the LCC. I apologize in advance if I am not correctly understanding what you are trying to accomplish. There are some great people with a wealth of knowledge on the forum, I am confident you will get some good feedback.

Hi Greg,
thanks for your fast reply.
I do my LCCs handheld as well. Or use a set of pre-photographed LCCs for certain shift values.
Then I attach whatever light shade I am using.
I tried working with a foldable black "reflector", but in most cases, it was not enough.
Light might not come only from one direction. It might come from all sides ;-)
Something like this:

Maybe this could be a solution:

They don’t fit over a center filter which is necessary for a Rodie 32, so it doesn’t work at all for this lens.

I have one of the Alpa shades for the 138mm. It works really well; slips on and off quickly for shooting black reference frames. I am going to cut out a square piece of black ABS that is big enough to cover the lens shade so I don't have to remove the shade. Obviously that only works if the shade is light tight against the lens. I am pretty sure the Lee is not, but that Cambo AC-324 might be...?

I still shoot black frames even with the IQ4 if the exposure is > 1 second. And, since I am often using DE+, the longer "shadow" exposure is almost always > 1 sec. I probably don't have to, but old habits are hard to break.
