Engraved lens caps for Rodenstock lenses

Appreciation of lens design? They’re already printing it, and the cap is made for a particular lens. Why wouldn’t the existing graphic show the particular lens? Even more so if this is engraved in the metal…what if archeologists did this lens up, how would they know the design? 😆

That or remove it as you are saying.

The next step would be to offer different colors. This is how I mark my lenses or, to be more accurate, my lens caps.
I use lens wraps that way. Black wrap is a wide angle lens, blue wrap is "normal", grey is for my different g-clarons (I have almost the whole set), red is long lenses.since my lenses are always wrapped in my camera bag, color helps. In the case of these lens caps--they look nice, but I wouldn't see them once they are inside a wrap in my camera bag.
