Hi Darlene,
Did you ever find any magenta cast on your colour pictures with your rental 28P on your 907x 50c ?
@JFA
I agree, Phocus is far better for lens corrections than Adobe softwares. But you can however achieve rather good corrections using Lightroom or ACR. I don't want to reignite a discussion about Phocus vs Lightroom/ACR, but I find the Adobe softwares more powerful, as far as the processing tools are concerned. Except for lens corrections, yes....

That sounds like a hardware issue rather than a software issue. I've not experienced any crashes or 'stopping' issues using Phocus.
I am a software developer, and I got to say reactions like yours are not helpful. That is your experience and apparently it is different from another user. It would not be the first time software has worked fine for one person and not for another. You can't really make any determinations whether it's a software or hardware issue from his description alone. Your anecdote does not invalidate another's.

I'm a software developer as well, and I tend to think that it may be a software compatibility issue with some kind of hardware configurations (GPUs, CPU architecture, storage type, ecc...). If it was hardware problem, you'd typically have crashes and "stoppings" not with just one single app, but with many, if not all the installed ones, and even by just using the OS alone.

On my old Intel-based MBP, for example, I've experienced an issue where the exported TIFFs and JPEGs did not include keystone and crop corrections.
On my new M3 Max MBP I'm non experiencing any bugs, nor crashes nor glitches of any type. Call me a lucky guy.
I've also PS, Camera Raw and LR, but I still prefer the Phocus way, and results. Call me a crazy guy.

For simplicity, you may want to coalesce the two sentences and just call me a lucky crazy guy. 😉

CFV II 50c | Rodenstock 32HR Dig W with CF | 3 shot stitch at 1/4th scale | Testing out this lens. B&W because CF.
Would love to hear more of your reactions regarding the 32HR. I don't shoot wide that often and have the Schneider 35XL for those few times that I need that kind of FOV. My 35XL has nowhere near the movement capabilities of the Rody 32 but I can squeeze 10mm worth of rise but that's just about it. The 32HR would be a good compliment to my Rody 50mm albeit pricey - but then all the good stuff is.

wow, Stanley, this looks like a place that I would like to visit :)
What a pity it is on the wrong side of the Atlantic for me.

Enjoy your lunch,
Rafael
Rafael,
After you enjoy your seafood, you can drive east two miles on route 77 to Grays Ice Cream stand. I have been enjoying the black raspberry since my parents took me there over75 years ago. If your adventurous, you might wish to order the rum raisin which is also yummy!IMG_0280.jpeg

Dear friends,

I haven't been here for a while. Can anyone tell me how to look for the old "Fun with MF images" prior to 2023?

Thank you,

Pramote

I'm still on the M1 series (Studio and MBP) and haven't found a compelling reason to upgrade yet.... Wonderful computers.

Indeed, they are great machines. I moved directly from Intel to M3 max, and of course the jump was huge!
If we add that macOS is a Unix-like OS, what more could I possibly ask for? :)

Hi Robert,
There is no magenta cast on my color images made with the rental 28P.
For me, it is a great lens. I only wish I could find one for sale! 😊
Kind regards,
Darlene
