.. it is a dialect (Cologne) for France
I first posted the photo in a German forum and usually use the captions to find the photo in order to avoid duplicate postings.

Loxwood Joust is a medieval fair held in August over a few weekends, not very far from London. This was the first time I attended something like this. It was a very interesting experience and I plan on going back next year.

This is a heavily cropped image using XF + IQ4 + 240mm

something like this needs focus tracking and a high frame rate. But the challenge is what makes it more fun!

As I spend a large part of my summers on one of the large islands in the Baltic Sea, the weather is always of interest from a photographic point of view
I have found a good weather channel on youtube that deals with Europe's weather.
There is often talk of "The pest from the west" with regard to all the misery that blows across the Atlantic.
And I have begun to feel some sympathy for our unfortunate brothers and sisters in Ireland and Great Britain.
They do their best to take care of all the rain so that those of us who live a little further east avoid most of it.

But sometimes it sneaks through a small storm and produces beautiful and remarkable sunsets.
