MBS (Museum Buurtspoorweg) Engine #6 in Haaksbergen (Netherlands).

It was built as an industrial shunter by La Meuse (Liège, Belgium) in 1925.

It is shown in the livery of the NCS (Nederlandsche Centraal Spoorwegmaatschappij). Not fully original, but since none of the locomotives of the NCS survived the scrap yard still historically interesting to paint it this way.

This is Museum Buurtspoorweg engine #4, a Hanomag from 1925.

For many years it was the only steam engine in service on the line and it never let us down.
It's also the one on which I learned to fire and drive which is a good thing since it was very picky on good firing (a small mistake already slagged up the grate) so if you knew how to keep this one going all the ones we got later were much easier.

It's now in the shed waiting for money for an overhaul and a new boiler.
