Profoto B1 stuck...adjustable joint lubrication?

My B1 strobes joints are stuck, can be moved with huge effort.
Wondering if anyone has used a lubricant - my concern is that I won't be able to lock them down if wrong lube is used.

I have a B1X that does this same thing. I may put a couple of drops of Krytox GPL105, since I have some at home. I cant think of me being unable to tighten it afterwards. Worst case scenario I could disassemble and remove the lubricant.
