Question: Hassy H5D-40 vs Phase one XF IQ1 40

Both CCD and Both 40 mp. I am looking at the same ISO of 100-200 Max. Mainly Portraits and Group shots.
Big difference in price between them. I know the H is dead but not worried about that. Eventually the XF will be dead.
Thank you

I’d go with the hassy but just because of better long exposure capability (256 sec max with no dark frame on the Hassy vs 60 sec max with dark frame on the IQ140, at least I think my numbers are right).

You obviously can buy and sell as many cameras as you'd like, but asking the same questions over and over again seems like a waste of time of many good natured folks in the forum. I mean really, why does it even matter what someone may suggest if you will sell the camera a few weeks later?

Why don't you post your reviews and findings of every catch and release system you run into and contribute to the forum by sharing your impressions?

My $.02 from a buy & try standpoint, if swimming in the $4k pool, get an IQ2-60. It has a newer 60 MP CCD and is full-frame (54x40mm). Seen others here and on Ebay for ~$4.5k as well. https://www.mpb.com/en-us/product/phase-one-iq2-60-digital-back/sku-2388769

From an XF standpoint, an IQ3-60 would be better (more features / functionality with the XF). If carrying / using a heavy camera like the XF, I want all the goodness & promise of a larger sensor. If going 44x33mm, then I'd get a Fuji or something like that. I struggle to find much value in a CCD (no live view) 40 MP back these days. Again, just my $.02.

That's also 50cmos pricing.
