Hi guys

Just checking in - everyone on holidays?

How's your tech cam kit doing?

Seems to me there's a bit of a reduced activity ....?

Who's around?

Wrapping up the Semester, grading this weekend, finishing two consulting projects early this coming week, then heading to the ocean for R&R and photography. An observation, historically after GetDPI is down for a week things take a while to pick back up, and it is that time of year.......Paul you?

Hot and humid, not much shooting. Have been busy printing and framing for a small local exhibit/sale next month.

Just back from sunny Crete; was shooting Portra 160 there on a Leica M6 (so freeing to leave the digital world behind). Looking forward to restarting my photography project focusing on old dilapidated factories that are fast disappearing in my part of the World (taking inspiration from Gabriele Basilico's work in particular).

It's been a fun summer where I am. Just work, beach and travelling. Most forms of social interaction for me right now is done over a coffee or a pint. I'll be back on here in the winter and in my underwear.

My last road trip took me up north in June, exploring Pennsylvania, the NJ Pine Barrens, and visiting a childhood friend living on the Jersey Shore. Due to Florida's intense heat, I put my camper van adventures on hold during the summer. Even here in North Florida, where I live, we've been under heat advisories all month, with temperatures forecasted to reach 115°. I plan to make a few day trips once I'm sure the areas I want to visit are free from recent flooding or storm damage caused by Hurricane Debby. I just received my copy of the 28p lens and am anxious to give it a run.

Went to "Rencontres Photographiques d'Arles" (in France), as I am used to do for several years now. Arles is a wonderful (and human sized) city, but the weather was rather hot (35-38 C). I enjoyed many exhibitions, however.
Now back to Paris....
