not recommend Lion Battery due to safety concern.
The lion battery require accurate management setting and very hard apply for large current.
The Maximum current output of power pack is huge, the Lithium battery hardly handle it.
some brand can handle with the high price, if using unsuitable Lithium battery, it has potential explosion risk.
please check the maxmium outpur current of the lithium you proposed to be replaced.

Below is one of the lithium battery company reply

"Thanks for your reply and photos. I'm sorry to say that I don't think our battery packs are suited to your application. While we have batteries that are similar size (12V 12Ah LiFePO4), the battery packs you have listed and the power requirement of the lighting equipment looks to take very high amounts of power for a very short time (during flash). Sadly, our batteries cannot offer as much as 1000W of output. The largest we can offer is 360W, found on the BP2564 - 12V 16Ah LiFePo4 battery."

go to traditional battery. I replaced 5 battery ,all good. I have 6 units of Ranger RX SPEED and 8 heads. totally have 8 battery.
the Elinchrom Ranger Rx is very cheap, so I have no choice to get more to set up my home studio for fun.
the battery I use is ipowersonic 12V 14Ah (15Ah),Sealed Rechargeable AGM Battery-MOBILITY&LEISURE USE

L & W was a nightmare for me.
i prepaid for the repair and paid to send the batteries to their location. After a few weeks I tried to contact them , but they did not reply to emails nor phone calls. After months of frustration, I bought new batterie; five months later my repaired batteries appeared without any prior notice

Not wholly relevant to the this thread, but I'm the proud owner of a dead Elinchrom Li-Ion battery for Elinchrom ELB-400. But since the OP mentioned Li-Ion, long story short, accidentally fully discharged my ELB 400 (was out of town for awhile) and it was left in that state. Tried to 2+ months to bring it back to life via the "Battery Recovery" mode. No joy.

I wouldn't be too fussed about a dead battery, but Elinchrom (nor anyone else) makes a replacement. It's such a waste because the ELB-400 control units is like new and strobe works (or worked) great. The set-up needs the battery to work (even if plugged into AC). Anyways, I won't be buying anything else from the Elinchrom that's Li-Ion based.
