I'm not sure if you want a constructive technique mentioned or not, but were it me, I would like to shoot lower so that the tree is separated from the background, but hey, that's just me

Fair comment Graham, but there was a fence in the way and I had to shoot over it! The light was nice so I wanted the pic anyway...

Trust me, I get it - it's never simple. I use a technical camera with rise/fall to handle those situations because the viewer doesn't know or care about that stuff
