Sony A7/A7r with old lenses

I read the C-mount Trioplan 50/2.8 is a very rare and special lens and indeed it did not dissapoint, it creates an almost full cicle on FF (with the hood taken off), with the hood on the circle barely touches the top and bottom of the short side. The lens is part of the estate of a passed friend I am managing for his widow, given these results I'm not sure if it needs a new home or if it already found one :p

What is a "C-mount" version of the Trioplan lens?

Gary
C-mount is a ~25 mm screw mount that is used on vintage 8mm and 16 mm movie-film camera's.
I have an adapter that allows mounting it on E-mount at the right distance from the sensor.
As you can expect (and see) their image circle is small, allthough there are some C-mount examples that cover FF or more.
