Our local photo club held a "photo café" on Saturday. We got together at a coffee house in a nearby town to talk about a theme – in this case, monochrome, square format. Then we strolled through town for about 90 minutes taking pictures. I decided to add another constraint – a 50mm manual-focus prime only. These explorations are interesting and fun exercises even if they don't produce award-winning images.
