The only thing I don't like about the M8 was the cropped sensor so I used the 28 as a 35...which was my favourite focal length back then - maybe because it was my first Summilux I ever bought ( LOL)
but ( you are right) roll the clock forward and I prefer the 24mm on FF sensors...for wide or candid people shots in the street- but to be fair- the 28mm perspective is second best (IMO)

PS that was a weird 'holiday' in Paris I spent most of the time in Hospital recovering from an emergency operation....and that shot was taken second last night there when I got out...

Yes if you need to frame accurately and dont like the LCD tourist pose...I highly recommend the 21 SEM if you are going that way - sharp as a tack edge to edge and corner to corner.

No way - for the classic LCD tourist pose I'd need my reading glasses ... :geek:
But I was thinking a 24 something. A 24 SEM perhaps ?

Good grief - you clearly booked the wrong destination. Which tour operator did you use then ? Healthtrip ?

I think we discussed this a while ago? my favorite walk-around lens on the X2D is the 30mm which is 24mm on the Leica M and I finally found a mint copy of a 24 Elmar-M....Leica dont make them anymore ( weird) Here it is on my M10M - if you like a 24MM - cant be beaten (IMO)

In 2007 I started my Leica career with the 28 summicron and this apo-summicron 75, shortly after followed with a silver 50 summilux.
Too bad all three, among other equipment, were stolen in August 2014.
Just recently bought another 'near minty' apo-summicron 75.
Feeling very happy (again) ... :)
