I have photographed this scene previously with medium format gear. With the Apo 35 lens on the SL3, I think I actually see more detail.

Optics matter - the upcoming S4 for thar reason might actually blow away the IQ5 with Rodie glass as their new line of optics are made to the exacting SL APO standards, but for MFD.

There won't be anything beyond the S4 optics in MF land.

I’ve done a series of side-by-side landscape shots between my M11 bolted to an APO Lanthar ….vs my GFX100S ….., and I’ve been surprised just how little difference I sometimes see in terms of apparent resolution in 50” wide prints done at 300dpi. Sometimes, I think that I see more detail in parts of the M11 frame due to the excellent resolution of the APO Lanthar. I can imagine that an SL APO prime on the SL3 might take that theme a bit further.
