Paul, I am pretty sure it's $2099 US...Has anyone seen the suggested retail for the lens?
Thanks
Paul Caldwell
That is the correct price. Ken, we should have one for Carmel... unless you want one yourself! If not.. maybe Don L. can give you one for Christmas!Paul, I am pretty sure it's $2099 US...
Agreed Paul! If it is as good as the 55 from corner to corner, and since it has the AF/MF clutch, I will be all over itThanks Jack,
I will have to see if it's as sharp as the 55mm before purchase.

Hi John:Jack - I thought the 45/2.8 AF was supposed to be quite good in light of its floating element design. Sounds like you felt otherwise. I'm curious what you found lacking in the original AF and what you hope is improved with the new "D" version. Thank you.
Well my old 45 corners were literally mush -- and ironically the lower left was the worst too -- but since mush is mush I don't think any amount of sharpening would help...I suppose that Guy's trick of using the 35mm correction on the 28mm would also work for someone with a 45mm lens showing soft corners.
