500mm lens getting closer?

SAR is predicting that the long awaited 500mm F4 lens will be launched at the same time as the A9x

Interestingly they have sort of given away that as this lens has a direct manual focusing link that automatically expands the screen to 16x, it looks as if Sony have decided to go with SLT rather than DSLR? Could be one of each!

Either which way this looks like a sports photographers dream lens on either FF or APS-C.

Looks great. Especially if the resolving power is a good match for A850/A900 and beyond.
