Do you know who the architect was? Is it part of the "Amsterdamse School" - the expressionist Dutch style between around 1910-1930?

The "banana bridge" in Wijnegem (Belgium).
Taken out of service last monday, they're now removing the pavement and all structures/fencing on top. The coming weekend it will be totally removed.
It will be replaced by two higher bridges, a new road bridge for all motorised traffic (ready later this year) and a cycle and foot bridge (ready in 2025).

Last weekend they took down the southern half of the banana bridge in Wijnegem, this weekend they're working on the northern half

In the background you can see the bridgehead of the new road bridge. On this spot a new bicycle and pedestrian bridge will be built (in 2025 )
