FUJIFILM GFX 50S, 50R, 100, etc. ... Peculiarities

Does anyone remember who the guy was, back when Fuji first introduced either the 50 or the 50R when took his review camera out to Utah and White Pocket if I remember correctly? I am looking to contact the woman guide who took him out there to shoot. He did a utile video and Fuji must have sponsored him.

Sorry - I've no idea, Lou. There are a few companies offering White Pocket photography tours.

That's pretty good, K-H !

Thank you Bart, well I need a much faster camera, say about 30 FPS minimum. ;)

Fuji GFX 50S + Fujifilm Fujinon GF250mm F4 R LM OIS WR + 1.4X WR Teleconverter @ 350 mm (277 mm in 35mm), f/5.6, 1/1000 s, ISO 250.

In any case I will be looking forward to receive the new GF500! 👍

For a 'slow' MF camera like the 50s, it is certainly pretty good.
As for the GF500: same here ... :)

Thank you Bart. I am resisting some old images to see how I can change improve, worsen them with newer post-processing software.
This was back in 2018 when I first had the camera. Please the exposure time of 1/5 s. ;)

Processed back then.

I think the older processing has a more natural appearance.

Following is a bunch of images I shot yesterday and assembled into a GIF animation. :D
Just for fun, as the GFX 50S has a max frame rate of 3 FPS.

I think the newer processing shows brighter highlights: a tad too much perhaps ...

Thank you Bart. I agree, that’s what the automatic processing of the latest Capture One version results in. Of course, I could make it less bright.

Overall, I get along fine with their to me new user interface, especially how to crop multiple images identically. It’s really quite different compared to previous versions of their software. Their interactive online documentation has actually been very helpful to figure out this aspect of their new user interface.

Oops, speed too high by 3x. Now with the correct speed of 3 FPS. :)

It sure is, K-H. Even with the 1.4x TC the IQ is still excellent.

Indeed Bart, thank you. Here are a few more 700 mm shots.

Fuji 50S + GF700 = GF500+1.4x TC Hummingbird Portraits.. :D

These were shot from a much larger distance than the GF 500 images above.

Bart, I hesitate buying another Fuji camera. They simply cannot shoot fast enough for me.
Having a choice between higher resolution or much faster frame rate I come down on the latter. :D

It's pretty clear Sony provides the better camera for your 'needs'.
However in terms of still image quality I think the Fuji GFX100(s)II is hard to beat.
