You can try reaching out to kolari vision - https://kolarivision.com/ - they were able to help me a few times get new cover glass swapped onto a digital back. I wouldn't use it if Phase One will service it and you can afford the 1K price from them, but kolari is perfect for older, less valuable DBs. Probably around 300-500 for a new filter.

yeah I find a 1000€ insurance shipping for 37$...and the possibility of having an infrared camera... it's a temptation hahaha. if i convert it to infrared and put a filter in front of the lens it would be a normal camera again. i would have both options, wouldn't i?

Yep! It's a bit of pain to always have filters, but worth it IMO.

You will need to compensate for focus shift when shooting infra red.

That doesn't look like any fungus I've seen. However, I'm used to seeing fungus on lenses.

Do you know why it happens, even in Canada? Is our air so moist?

I have to be honest Sean, I'm not sure what I was trying to say there! What would have made sense is "It doesn't look like any fungus I've seen on lenses."

I've never seen fungus on a lens I bought new, but I have very few of those. I've seen fungus on lots of lenses for sale from Asia. I don't buy them because while you can get fungus off, it's tricky and the glass can be damaged. I had to sell a used lens at a loss once because it had very tiny fungus that I didn't notice when I bought it, but I noticed when I got it ready for sale.

Ok I’m a bit relieved now. I’ve been to East Asia in the monsoon season and it feels like waking through water. So I can understand how other people get fungal attacks on their equipment.
