OK to post FOR SALE in normal forums?

Looking in some forums I am seeing FOR SALE ads. Not in classified For Sale section.

Is this OK?

Seems it will get a more directed audience, but at the expense of the ForSale section.

Sale / WTB ads etc. should only appear in the 'Gear for sale or WTB' forum.

That they are popping up elsewhere is sadly just a symptom of the lack of moderation ... as is the spam that's appearing ad nauseam.
