Today I visited the Scherpenbergmolen, Westmalle

Some essential tools for the miller, a clock with a seconds hand (so he can determine the RPM while in operation) and a small brush to clean left-over flower from the shutes under the millstone

Absolutely love it, but it's not easy to get it 'right'.
Congrats Bart, indeed a monochrom is fun but it requires a whole different PP strategy vs. colour images or converting colour images to B&W.
Also since there's only one channel a burnt highlight is gone forever, so exposure is more critical versus a colour sensor.
And then there is the issue of colour filters, yellow-green, yellow, orange, red, etc. they all have their place when using a monochrom camera.
I bought my monochrom in june 2022 and I'm still have much more to learn to get consistent good captures as compared to my colour Leica or Sony's.

Thanks, Pieter. Highlights are part of everyday life so I accept them as they are and come, but indeed you have to be more careful.
What I find in particular difficult is to envision a 'good spectrum' of grey tones: filters might help here, but still it's no easy feat.
And looking through an OVF doesn't help much either. Perhaps I should make use of the EVF ...
Well anyway, fun it is !

NB I found just a small amount, if any, of sharpening is required to my M-shots compared to my P-shots. It all too soon becomes 'scratchy'.
