I bought one of these so that I could try out some canon lenses now in preparation for my upcoming move to the Sigma SD1. Unfortunately when I tried it with a Tokina 11-16 zoom is vignettes at f2.8. In fact as far as I can tell the moveable aperture has no effect until it is past the adjustment range designated by the adjustment numbers engraved on the ring. I managed to get it to f8 just well past the engraved numbers and just short of the full throw of the ring. At that point it is no longer vignetting but full blockage of the image with only a central circular portion showing through.
The placed the diaphragm as close to the lens as possible but the throat of the adapter behind the diaphragm is as narrow as the diaphragm itself. Making it larger might help.
I'll be reurning mine unless someone else wants to buy it to try it out on some other lens. The tokina is the only canon mount lens I have.
