Cheap scanners do well at 500-1200 dpi. More than that is usually a waste of disk space. If you scan at 1200 dpi you get 4800x6000 px which possibly makes out what thew scanner can deliver.Quick one from this weekend, cheap scanner, I see lots of dust, etc, sigh...
I gotta learn all this scanner stuff now.
Especially the resolution stuff.
