Technical Camera Images

Okay, let's try to animate this thread, although with something different from the beautiful landscapes and cityscapes you post here. :)

Still documenting the big mess of construction sites here in Berlin.
This has been taken with the Hasselblad 40 IF + CFV-50c Mk1 on a Cambo WDS with 11mm front lens rise. Color graded to my personal taste. No LCC applied.

I see that the inline image preview kinda ruins/defocus the image, click on it to see it the right way in the lightbox.

Thanks for viewing.

The 40 IF is such a great lens...
Unfotunately mine has a broken shutter, and nobody can repair it.
At least I found one (after two years) to open the shutter.
So I can use it again without the inbuilt one.

Ben

Ben,
there is a former Hasselblad technician in Germany who is usually up for the more difficult repairs. No website, just a name and contact details: Ulf Kühn, mail: [email protected] (he also has a Hasselblad email adress, [email protected] but is slightly more responsive on the other one). I had several repairs done by him, so it is a reliable contact.

Good luck!

How about some banal landscapes?:)

Or... cat pictures? LOL...

I am really missing the tech cam posts and as we go into a long winter, it would be nice to see more images! Archived images would be fine...:)
Well, I've been out of commission for a bit, dealing with some personal family things, new job and a stint with our favorite virus. I did get out a few times over the past several months but never when the light was particularly friendly. Here is one spot I've posted before in a variety of conditions throughout the year. It was a good, colorful fall if you like yellows. They really seemed to dominate this year.

Ulf Kühn needed 8 months to find out that he can't repair my lens.
Then he needed four more months to find out, that he can't open the shutter.
He told me, that all the guys at Hasselblad who where able to repair that lens, have died.
So my experience with him is not high-flying.

Fortunately I found by chance somebody near my home (20 km) who was able to open the shutter.
His diagnose was: The winding stem is broken but he has no repair part.
If somebody has a spare winding stem for the 40 IF, please contact me...🥳 LOL.

Hi, Dave,

Thank you for responding with some images.:) It is always great to see the results of your hard work and those of others posting.

It is not great to hear you had a "stint with our favorite virus", though! But apparently you are doing okay? We hope so!

It seems the Fall colors were quite different this year in many places. Perhaps the environmental problems with global warming realy is the link between that and so many other weird things in 2020. o_O If so, we may need to buckle our seat belts.

Good to see you are back!

Wow, this thread faded 5 pages back and not a post in a month? I better work on that. Yesterday evening in Tyresta National Park, south of Stockholm. I'll work on a BTS post for this.

Sk60, Alpa STC, IQ4150. Little back rise; DE+.

Nice to see an image made so near to myself, once in a while. Great inspiration.
